Reiki for People

Reiki not only helps to strengthen and restore the body’s own natural ability to heal, but is also used to support general health and well-being. Although the Reiki experience is subjective and varies from person to person, treatment to treatment, most agree that Reiki helps to:

  • Promote relaxation and better sleep

  • Relieve anxiety and depression
  • Relieve pain and assist with chronic pain management
  • Assist with transitional situations

During a Reiki session, the client remains fully clothed except for shoes. They can be done with the client laying on a massage-style table or sitting in a chair. The practitioner’s hands are lightly placed on the client’s body, or slightly above the body. Those practitioners who have attained Reiki II or higher can also provide distance Reiki for those clients who cannot for one reason or another come for a hands-on treatment. The benefits of Reiki are the same whether the treatment is given in a hands-on session or a distance session.
